Judy Bishop is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Pretoria, and has a wealth of experience teaching programming to undergraduates. She is the author of nine other textbooks, translated into Italian, Spanish, German and Polish. She serves on IFIP and IEEE committees concerned with technical programming issues and worldwide promotion of computing.
